ActivateDigital DPP for Shopify
Privacy policy for the ActivateDigital DPP app
This page covers the ActivateDigital DPP app for Shopify: what it reads from your store, what it writes back, where it is held and how to have it removed.
Last updated 9 October 2026
Who runs the app
The app is run by SIGNALANALYTICS.AI LTD, trading as ActivateDigital, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16798718.
For anything about privacy, email james@signalanalytics.ai.
What the app reads from your store
- Your products and their sizes (variants): titles, descriptions, options, SKUs, barcodes and weights.
- Inventory items: country of origin and customs (HS) code.
- Your store's name, domain and contact details, as Shopify gives every app, and the currency your store pays Shopify in, for billing.
The app asks for three access scopes and no others: read_products, write_products and read_inventory.
What it does not read
No customer data and no orders. The app asks for no customer or order access, and it does not request Shopify's protected customer data access.
What it writes back to your store
The address of each published passport, written onto each size, so the theme block can show the passport card on your product page.
What you give it
Your answers to the questions the app asks: your business name and address, your company number or that you have none, your organisation's role and the markets you sell into. It also holds any documents you attach.
Where it is held
In Google Cloud, in the London region (europe-west2).
Two processors handle it: Google Cloud, which hosts the app, and Shopify, the store platform and billing.
Published passports
A passport you publish is public by design. It sits at a permanent address on dppcode.org with a QR code, and it keeps resolving after you uninstall the app, because products already sold carry its address.
Uninstalling and deletion
- When you uninstall the app, its access is suspended and its Shopify token is revoked.
- When Shopify then sends its shop redaction request, what the app held for your store is erased. Published passports are not removed, for the reason above.
- Shopify's customer data and customer redaction requests are answered. The app holds no customer data, so there is nothing to return or delete.
Your rights
To ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion, email james@signalanalytics.ai.
