Where can I find product-specific DPP and EU regulation guidance?
Digital Product Passport and product regulation requirements are category-specific. There is no universal checklist that works for every product. The rules that define scope, required information, access, timing and product identity depend on the category and on the legal measure that applies to it.
Start by choosing the category that best describes the product you place on the EU market. Each category page separates obligations that are adopted from measures that are planned, proposed or indicative. It also explains the scope test, so you can work out whether the guidance covers your product before preparing data or changing a system.
The 11 category pages below bring together the category's scope, relevant dates, product-data requirements, evidence questions and source-backed Knowledge resources. Use them as the starting point for product-specific guidance, then follow the links to the underlying rules, implementation guidance and maintained status pages. When a requirement is not yet fixed, the category page says so plainly.

Batteries
Light means of transport batteries, industrial batteries above 2 kWh and electric-vehicle batteries placed on the EU market or put into service.

Detergents
Detergents and end-user surfactants placed on the Union market, rather than every surfactant upstream of them.

Toys
Products designed or intended for use in play by children under 14, subject to the exclusions in Annex I to the Toy Safety Regulation.

Iron and steel
Not drawn yet. The Working Plan treats iron and steel as an intermediate-product priority rather than as one final consumer-product category.

Construction products
Products within the scope the Construction Products Regulation sets in Article 2, less those exempt under Article 14.

Aluminium
Not drawn yet. The Working Plan prioritises aluminium as an intermediate-product category, which is not the same as every product containing aluminium.

Tyres
C1 tyres for passenger cars, C2 for light commercial vehicles and C3 for heavy-duty vehicles under existing tyre information law, which is not a future passport scope.

Food supplements
Ordinary food supplements marketed as food, which sit outside the ESPR. A product presented or functioning as a medicinal product is a different classification question.

No single group. ICT and electronics reach the Working Plan through horizontal repairability work and horizontal recycled-content and recyclability work for electrical and electronic equipment.
